Dimensions collide on the Interdimensional New Years, the gateways open to another dimension and you can step out of time. This year we are bringing in the New Year with a 2 room party at Tangent, going from 9pm — 6am. This is a time of celebration as we explore the psychedelic possibilities of renewal in a cocoon of sound with the finest sonic curators there are.

Stage Z is warm — and wiggly, a search for the future within our roots. Stage Y is monolithic and will take you to the other side, vibrating with equal parts Techno, Acid and Electro. The venue will be transformed by Amber Gillen & the Infinite Dimensions Crew, setting the stage for the launching point. Sonic reinforcement arrives in the form of Jim Gibbons and his AVS all star crew.

This year the vision is to find the path to the future by looking at what inspires us and mutating it, so that it becomes freshly invigorating. To that end, we begin the ritual of renewal with Stage Z — the ever evolving propulsive and wiggly sound, hard to pin down but easy to react to, endless waves of inspiration. We are very excited to bring CCL back to Detroit, their incredible exhilarating genre bending set with light the sound system ablaze. We are equally thrilled for the Detroit debut of Octo Octa’s hardware live show. Expect nothing less than excellence from Octo Octa, half of Alchemical Sisters. No Way Back resident and the other half of Alchemical Sisters, Eris Drew will perform a solo DJ set. A mistress of the 1200s, a true turntablist, high priestess of the Motherbeat, she effortlessly balances the many sides of rave and resynthesizes them into something that is both uplifting and endlessly trippy. The ceremonies will begin with an opening set from the ever talented local heroes DJ SPHiNX x Craig Gonzalez.

Stage Y explores the monolithic sound — the wormhole experience.  Detroit Electro Techno legends Ectomorph will DJ, featuring BMG & Erika, blending their minds and multiple genres, fusing evolving futurist Bass music with Electro, Techno, Acid and beyond. Lauren Flax will rip the stars from the cosmos as she effortlessly fuses Acid and Electro. Clarisa Kimskii brings her unique sonic fusion of deep techno and hand percussion to the edge of human perception, we could ask for no finer closer to the room. The ritual will launch with the advanced sci fiction Electro Techno Jit rhythms of Detroiter Shawescape Renegade.

A selection of the finest selectors, carefully curated to curve your consciousness. The purveyors of sonic renewal come in many shapes and forms. Your crystal will begin to change color as we begin our ritual of renewal. We find that to get into the New Year, into the new you, is to go all the way out and leave the last year behind. You need that space to reset. To find that kindling for the fire within to take you through the New Year. For that fresh beginning — An Interdimensional New Years.
