Pittsburgh's infamous Hot Mass club returns to the Tangent Gallery madness with Lot Mass – our daytime, dirt yard jam session designed to keep you tight and hold you steady through the Monday home stretch. For 2020's edition, we've got it all: weekend exclusives, a hometown Detroit hero, and a rare bird from the Hot Mass residents nest. Monday is not for throwing in the towel. It's time to lock in with Hot Mass and hit the gas to the finish line.

The lineup:

Zenker Brothers (Ilian Tape, Munich)
These two need no introduction, but here goes anyway. Two actual brothers, possibly the nicest humans on the planet, and head honchos of the legendary Ilian Tape label. Catch them not only for this exclusive Detroit weekend set, but also for a rare sunnier version of their brand of impeccable house and techno.

Violet (Naive, Lisbon)
Violet has been taking the dance world by storm over the last few years with her wild and wonderful DJ sets, work on the Naive label, plus residencies with the mina party and RinseFM. She's a true underground force in Europe and we couldn't be happier to have her on board.

Whodat (Futura, Detroit)
Terri McQueen (aka Whodat) will bring the timeless Detroit house energy to the yard. Hard working and active for years, with releases on labels such as Uzuri, Viola Klein and Meakusma, she has recently signed on with Futura, getting a much-deserved spotlight around the world.

Tony Fairchild (is/was, TerraFirm®, Hot Mass, Pittsburgh)
Rounding us out and delivering the dose of Hot Mass resident noise is Tony Fairchild. Tony is our behind-the-scenes, Pittsburgh-based puppet master, running the incredible Is/Was and TerraFirm® labels that have been turning the heads of Discogs monsters and deep divers around the globe. Expect extremely rare, wobbling house cuts snatched from the deepest bins around the world.

Return to the Source 2020 is an organic evolution of the original concept, yet carefully improved. Our weekend at the Tangent includes 4 parties for the price of one weekend wristband, with an outdoor area containing a harm reduction tent, food trucks, and a greater outdoor sound system. Once the music starts at No Way Back on Sunday night, it won't end until Tuesday morning — 31 hours of continuous music. A weekend wristband will allow you to experience all this with no interruptions.
